I have known Dr. Prabir De for over 20 years and have watched him grow from a highly qualified and motivated young man in to a professional businessman. Under Dr De’s management Royal Australian Mint and PAMP businesses increased more than 500% over the last 5 years (2012-2017). I believe that Dr De’s experience will be of great value to anyone using his services.
Dr. Prabir De’s strategic skills are admirable. He successfully delivered the 26th Mint Director’s Conference in 2010 and used this achievement as the impetus for the rapid growth of the Royal Australian Mint’s international revenue. His vision also assisted the Mint to win the prestigious ACT Government Export Award in the Government Solution category for five successive years (2013- 2017).
As Chairman of the Mint Directors Technical Committee, Dr. Prabir De has carried out numerous innovative projects and played a major role in driving multinational cooperation. In recognition of his decades of support and leadership, World Money Fair bestowed him with the inaugural Innovation award in January 2017.
Dr. Prabir De assisted the Central Bank of Solomon Islands and replace Solomon Islands coins that had been circulating for 35 years with a new series of coins in 2012. He also has been instrumental in positioning our numismatic coin program in the international arena.
After 14 Years as the Chair of Mint Director’s Technical Committee, Dr. Prabir De mentored me to succeed in this highly responsible position. His technical advice, based on his deep, global and long-term industry know-how, is invaluable to me to facilitate technical collaborative research involving international mints, minting industries and research organisations.
Dr. Prabir De has successfully implemented a coinage reform program for the Central Bank of Samoa (CBS) in 2011 to replace our old series of coins. He now pursues opportunities for the sale of Samoan circulating, commemorative and bullion coins on behalf of CBS. Prabir has been our adviser in this area since 2012.
